Jack and Jill of America, Inc. was Founded in 1938 by Marion Stubbs and nineteen other visionary mothers who understood the important role that cultural pride and strong social ties play in leadership development among children. The North Oakland/Macomb chapter was chartered in 1998. As a chapter we strive to not only implement our programming initiatives with creativity and excellence but we also strive to collectively uphold the highest hopes and most cherished dreams we have for all our children.On behalf of the dynamic women who make up this chapter we invite you to tour this site. Mothers meet monthly to ensure the vision of exposing our children to civic, cultural, educational and social activities that enrich our children's lives and give them a deeper sense of self and service in our communities.
Our teens (ages 13- 19) elect their own board and meet monthly to carry on the aims of Jack and Jill through monthly activities, planning sessions and service to their communities.
Our children's groups are divided by age/grades: Children ages 2-4 are Group 1, grades K-1st are Group 2, grades 2nd -3rd are Group 3, grades 4th - 5th are Group 4 and grades 6th-8th are Group 5.
